This week’s bouquet comes from an abundance of two flowers blooming right now. Feverfew has spread itself around like it owns the place. Cute as it is, I took a generous cutting for this bouquet and it isn’t even missed in the garden.
I thought of just stopping with the Feverfew, but one of my favorite roses is blooming in abundance, so I decided to add it. This is my ‘No Name’ rose bought years ago at the end of the season from the grocery store for $3 a plant. It’s planted on the east side of my house and blooms its little heart out every year.
Clusters of small pink roses make my heart swell with joy. Simple pleasures. They have a way of making you feel like all is right in the world, even if it’s not.
Together they make a light-hearted duo that sing of summer in its purest form.

Very cheerful and frothy and . . . wedding like!
Cindy says
Thank you very much Lucy. No weddings on the horizon, but cheerful and frothy is always delightful. Thank you for stopping by to comment. So nice to meet you!

Oh my goodness, that is just dreamy! Right up my alley! Lovely lovely lovely! Amanda https://therunningwave.blogspot.com/2020/06/clocking-time-in-vase-on-monday.html

Thank you Amanda! I tend to lean towards old fashioned country style type arrangements. They are easy and simple, and at my age, that is what I need life to be.
Susie says
Cindy, this is gorgeous. Your vase looks like summertime itself.
Cindy says
Thank you Susie. They do make a happy couple and make me smile every time I see them on the screened in porch. They made me realize we are past our roller coaster spring weather, and have now settled into summer.
Amelia Grant says
Love it. Those were my favorite roses when I gardened further north.
Cathy says
What a glorious combination, Cindy, and all the more stunning because of the abundance of both – and very definitely frothy!
Cindy says
Thank you Cathy. Challenging myself to create a vase every week has been enjoyable, with the flowers cheering up every room. Your meme keeps me focused and on track in my personal challenge, and I thank you for being such a wonderful hostess!

Troopers like the feverfew and that rose deserve to be admired and celebrated, Cindy. You’ve reminded me that I haven’t seen any feverfew pop up anywhere in my garden this year, which is terrible. I may have to go buy the plant this year.
Cindy says
I wish I could give you some Kris. I have them everywhere and they are so large, they are smothering my echinacea . I think I will use your idea of giving away flowers. I don’t have a lot of jars to set them on the sidewalk, so I may take them door to door. I’ll have to start saving jars because soon I’m going to have an abundance of zinnias too.
Cathy says
Oh wow, absolutely gorgeous Cindy! Beautifully photographed too. 😃
Cindy says
Thank you Cathy. I never have many flowers in abundance, but these two have out done themselves this year. It is fun for a change to be able to make a large overflowing arrangement.
Thank you for your kind photography comments. I’ve been working on my photography for 10 years and it’s been a frustrating journey. It is not intuitive for me and I have taken lots of courses and watched You Tube videos just in an attempt to get a grasp on shooting in manual mode. It is my one thing I intend to conquer if it takes until I die. Hopefully, it wont’ take that long. I’m no camera geek, so it has taken a lot of work just to get to this point. I toss more photos than I keep, and once in awhile, I get really lucky, and then wonder what settings I used to get that one photo. It’s a journey.

I love the overall effect and the vase. Taking two very pretty elements you have combined them to form a very stylish vase for that position in your home, very nicely photographed too. It says summer but is also light and airy.
