Without realizing it, I have accumulated a small collection of chicken wire containers. The largest one was a birthday gift years ago, the small one was a Goodwill find, and the middle-size one was a recent flea market find.

Grouping them together with a large bouquet of feverfew and a few candles creates a simple summer mantle.

They make the perfect balance for a print I found of Canadian Geese by Jim Dickens on Facebook Marketplace about a month ago. Normally I would save my collection of Canadian Geese prints and watercolors for a fall display, but I was so in love with this print, I just couldn’t wait for fall.

I find the simple lines and lack of color on this mantle have a very calming effect on me, and that is always a good thing.

You’ve been missing for awhile! As always, I love your summery vignette.
I haven’t been much into blogging lately. Just seems redundant to be saying the same things over and over again, so I took a break. I haven’t even been taking many photos, but I thought I’d better document some things I wanted to remember. Thanks for coming by Kris. You’re the only follower I have really. But that’s okay. I mostly blog to document things for myself.
