This week’s bouquet is a collection of my favorite bright colors. In flowers, I am a fan of pastels, but if I have to do bright flowers, orange, yellow, and pink is my favorite color combination.
A repeat of ditch lilies this week, combined with pink yarrow and yellow echinacea.
The echinacea have begun to bloom early this year and I currently have two shades of yellow. This isn’t the yellow I most like with pink and orange, but it was all I had.
The yarrow I planted, for some reason came up this year as two different shades of pink.
These are my happy colors and they never fail to make me smile.
Linking today with Cathy from Rambling in the Garden for her weekly meme of “In A Vase On Monday”.

What a beautiful vase of summeriness! 😃 I love it that you have used a pink Achillea/yarrow too this week. Love the lilies. And of course Echinacea is perfect for a summer arrangement. Mine are only just opening, one by one.
Have a lovely week Cindy!

Thank you Cathy for your kind comments. It seems now everything is blooming all at once, and it is hard to decide what to choose. But I needed these happy colors to keep me company inside since it is too hot to be outside.

Hi Cindy, what a lovely trio of flowers. I really love the yellow echinacea! It’s very pretty indeed and a good change from the usual dark pink one. Interesting to put pink with orange. It’s rather a favourite colour combination of mine. A great vase! Thank you. Amanda https://therunningwave.blogspot.com/2020/07/in-vase-on-monday-stripes-and.html

Thank you Amanda. The echinacea have just begun blooming, which is early this year. The colors are so bright and intense, as if the heat has intensified their colors. One by one they open, but the only ones blooming not blooming are the usual pink ones you always see. Maybe they are waiting for August. Happy week to you and hopefully better weather.

I see what you mean about pink and orange and yellow – it makes such a warm combination and the yellow and orange nicely pic out the centres of the achillea. Thanks for sharing

Thank you Cathy. I love hot pink and orange together. Not colors I use in decorating or very often in my garden. Maybe that’s why they always make me smile, because they are such a happy delight for the eyes.

The arrangement immediately brought rainbow sherbet (yum!) to mind for me, Cindy. I envy you the Echinaceas, which don’t grow particularly well for me here except perhaps as annuals. I’d be thrilled to have masses of pink yarrow to cut too.

I’m rather surprised the echinaceas don’t do well out there, since they tolerate the heat very well, and grow in any type of soil. They add such intense color to the garden.
I’m surprised you don’t have pink yarrow in your garden since your Moonshine yarrow is your favorite plant. They too, seem like they would thrive almost anywhere. Mine needs to be moved where it can get better sunlight. It always gets too leggy and then eventually flops over.

Very beautiful! Not only the colours but the textures are amazing, too!
