I can’t think of many things more satisfying than a garden. They bring pleasure in so many shapes and colors, not to mention how they awaken and delight our senses.
Sometimes I can’t help but marvel in awe at the unique beauty that comes from the soil and a tiny seed.
Maybe it was the long winter that made my heart and soul so thirsty for the joys that only spring brings . . . or maybe it just made me appreciate it all the more for its delay.
The earth gives in abundance and holds nothing back.
Sweetness in so many forms.
Each bloom is a performer on a stage. Some perform alone, and some in a chorus. Do you ever wonder what flowers would sound like if they could sing?
Some make you smile and dream of quaint cottage gardens.
And then some are definitely “show offs”.
And beauty comes just as much in simple and varied shades of green.
“We might think we are nurturing our garden, but of course it’s our garden that is really nurturing us.” ~ Jenny Uglow
